B6T forms for the 2019–2010 school year are now past due. If you live in a district that provides busing for school children within your home district or “aid in lieu of transportation” payments, you must file one B6T form for each child. All forms are to be returned to Mrs. Wehrfritz immediately. Failure to do so will result in the loss of busing or the “aid in lieu of transportation” payments for your child/children.
Please note:
Remember, you must live in a district that has busing, the school your child attends must be between 2 miles and 20 miles away, and your child must be 5 years old by October 1st.
Not all school districts make the “aid in lieu of transportation” payments, e.g. East Orange, Hillside, and Orange.
Bloomfield, Caldwell, Livingston, Newark, South Orange-Maplewood and some school districts in Morris County are samples of districts that provide “aid in lieu of transportation.”
West Orange determines on an annual basis whether or not they will provide busing or make the “aid in lieu of transportation” payments.
B6T forms must be legible and filled out completely. Do not forget to include the distance from home to school.
