The 6th grade took a field trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, a cross-curricular activity between reading and social studies; first, they read Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief in reading and are now studying Greek and Roman history in studies. At The MET, the students studied works of art and returned to school to write a speech outline, develop a Google Slides presentation, and write a four to five minute speech about their experiences and what they learned.
